Covert Vehicle Tamper Detection

Security details employ armored vehicles to provide safe VIP transportation; however, vehicles must be monitored during unattended parking for evidence of tampering, such as the placement of explosive devices, tracking devices, and other methods of sabotage. Applied Research Associates, Inc. developed the SEnse and Report Vehicle ANti-Tamper (SERVANT) system, which consists of low-profile sensors installed throughout a vehicle. When a tamper event is detected, SERVANT automatically records sensor data and surveillance video and sends an alert to the security agent’s PDA.
